Title |
Effects of strigolactone analogue dGR24 on the transcriptome of Bacillus subtillis |
Organism |
Bacillus subtilis |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Objective: to compare and contrast the effects of exogenous application of strigolatone analogue rac-dGR24, on gene expression in bacillus subtilis. The experiment compared the effects on three genotypes: wild type and two mutant lines, a ∆rsbQ and RsbQS96A.

|
Overall design |
Two treatments (mock, 10 µM rac-dGR24) were applied to three genotypes (WT, ∆rsbQ, RsbQS96A) in triplicate at an optical density (OD 600) ranging from 1.0 to 1.1. Cultures were harvested at OD ranging from 1.4 to 1.5 and transferred to liquid nitrogen prior to extraction of total RNA.
