Title |
Pulmonary gene expression after ischemia reperfusion in young and old mice |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
To examine the age-related vulnerability to lung ischemia reperfusion injury, pulmonary gene expression profiles after lung ischemia reperfusion were compared between young and old mice.

|
Overall design |
8-12 week-old and 22-24 month-old male C57BL/6J mice were used. The left pulmonary artery, vein, and bronchus were clamped all at once, and the ischemia was maintained in the left lung for 60 min. 1 hour and 1 day after the reperfusion, mice were sacrificed, and their lung tissues were processed for RNA purification.
