Summary A single-cell RNA-Seq data set was generated using the 10x Genomic platform from E16.5 mice kidney nephrogenic zone cells.
 
Overall design We isolated and digested embryonic kidneys at E16.5 following a published protocol (Brown et al., 2015). The resultant single cell suspension was passed through 10x Genomics Chromium v1 to produce a scRNA-Seq data set.
