Title |
Molecular characterization of NICOTINAMIDASE 3 gene in perspective of drought tolerance mechanism in Arabidopsis |
Organism |
Arabidopsis thaliana |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by array
|
Summary |
Gene expression profiles of roots and shoots of WT and NIC3 OX plants under control and 5 days rought-stressed conditions were analyzed using the custom microarray (GPL19830).

Overall design |
Seeds of Arabidopsis thaliana (Col-0 ecotype) were grown on MS medium at 22°C under 16-h-light/8-h-dark for 10 days. Plantlets were then transferred to ceramics granular soil (size 2.5L, Sakatanotane, Japan) and grown for 5 days at 22°C. The drought treatment was then commenced by removing excess water from the trays and ceasing any subsequent watering. Roots and shoots were harvested separately under control conditions and at 5 days after the onset of drought treatment.
