Title Single cell transcriptome of human alveolar epithelial cells

Summary To determine the ability of human AEC2s to transdifferentiate in vitro, we performed single cell mRNA sequencing using 10X Genomics platform of freshly sorted AEC2s and several timepoints in a 3D organoid co-culture (AEC2s with primary human mesenchyme) system.
 
Overall design Freshly sorted human AEC2s were co-cultured with primary human mesenchyme in a 3D organoids. At day 7, day 14, and day 21, epithelial cells and mesenchymal cells were harvested and sequenced via 10X Genomics.
