Title |
Sel1L-Hrd1 ERAD is required for the maintainenance of beta cell identity and function |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Mice with Sel1L deficient beta cells develop severe hyperglycemia, glucose intolerance and impaired insulin secretion. Using single cell sequencing, we identified that Sel1L plays a major role in maintaining beta cell maturation by suppressing TGF-beta signaling.

Overall design |
Islets were isolated from 5 weeks old Sel1Lf/f and Sel1LIns1 mice and following overnight recovery, trypsinized to obtain single cell suspension and processed using 10X Genomics CHROMIUM single cell 3' solution.
