Title Sel1L-Hrd1 ERAD is required for the maintainenance of beta cell identity and function
Organism Mus musculus
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary Mice with Sel1L deficient beta cells develop severe hyperglycemia, glucose intolerance and impaired insulin secretion. Using single cell sequencing, we identified that Sel1L plays a major role in maintaining beta cell maturation by suppressing TGF-beta signaling.

Overall design Islets were isolated from 5 weeks old Sel1Lf/f and Sel1LIns1 mice and following overnight recovery, trypsinized to obtain single cell suspension and processed using 10X Genomics CHROMIUM single cell 3' solution.
