Title |
RNA-seq of human myoblasts where AR isoform 2 was either knocked-down or upregulated. |
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
The goal of this study is to unravel the function of this AR isoform in the cell. In particular we are interested in understanding the function of AR isoform 2 on the biology of AR.

|
Overall design |
RNA-seq analysis was performed comparing the data set from human myoblasts transfected with plasmid expressing AR-2 (AR45) or mock sequence. Additionally RNA-seq analysis was also performed comparing data from human myoblasts treated with siRNA targeting AR-2 expression specifically or mock sequence. Conclusion: our study shows that AR-2 mainly alter genes containing an androgen responsive element in their promoter region.
