Title RNA-seq of human myoblasts where AR isoform 2 was either knocked-down or upregulated.

Summary The goal of this study is to unravel the function of this AR isoform in the cell. In particular we are interested in understanding the function of AR isoform 2 on the biology of AR.
 
Overall design RNA-seq analysis was performed comparing the data set from human myoblasts transfected with plasmid expressing AR-2 (AR45) or mock sequence. Additionally RNA-seq analysis was also performed comparing data from human myoblasts treated with siRNA targeting AR-2 expression specifically or mock sequence. Conclusion: our study shows that AR-2 mainly alter genes containing an androgen responsive element in their promoter region.
