Title Astrocyte alterations that accompany neuroinflammation induced anhedonia

Summary The Khakh laboratory sequenced RNA from both whole and astrocyte specific RNAs from mouse prefrontal cortex and visual cortex by using Aldh1l1-CreERT2 - RiboTag mice. RNA was purified from controls and LPS injected mice, 1, 2 and 14 days after the injection.
 
Overall design Mice were injected i.p. with PBS or LPS (5 mg/kg). 1, 2 and 14 days after the injection PFC and VCX were homogenized and RNA was purified from (i) cleared lysate as the input, and (ii) astrocyte-specific ribosome-associated RNA precipitated via a hemagglutinin (HA) tag. LPS samples were compared to PBS samples. PFC samples were compared to VCX samples.
