Summary We reported the first definitive characterization of the role of IL-32 in the trained phenotype, the results of which improve our understanding of the molecular mechanisms governing trained immunity and Leishmania infection control.
Overall design Examination of the influence of IL32 rs4786370 SNP in the gene expression in bone marrow granulocyte macrophage progenitors (GMP) of healthy volunteers prior and on day 0 and day 90 (M3) post BCG vaccination. GMPs were identified as Lin-CD34+CD38+CD45RA+CD10- events and purified using FACS.
