Title |
Transcriptional profiling of Saccharomyces cerevisiae WT and set4∆ strains during hypoxia |
Organism |
Saccharomyces cerevisiae |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Purpose: The goal of this study was to globally characterize the transcript levels of genes in Saccharomyces cerevisiae WT and set4∆ strains during hypoxia. Using transcriptome profiling of isogenic WT and set4∆ strains grown under aerobic or 8 hours of hypoxia. We analyzed the changes in gene expression that occur during aerobic and hypoxic conditions and identified sets of upregulated and downregulated gene expression.

Overall design |
Method: Total RNA extracted from WT and set4∆ cells grown under aerobic or 8 hours of hypoxia was used to generate cDNA libraries using the TruSeq Stranded Kit with PolyA selection (Illumina) system. Nine RNA samples were barcoded, pooled and sequenced using the Illumina HiSeq2500 next generation sequencer using the rapid run mode (three biological replicates for each strain and conditiong including the WT aerobic condition, WT hypoxic condition and set4∆ hypoxic condition).
