Study found the miR-144-3p expression was reduced in neuroblastoma (NB) tissues and cell lines and resulted in the stimulation of cell proliferation, cell cycle progression, and cell migration in vitro. Data show that up-regulation of the HOXA7, HOXA9, HOXA11, and PBX3 resulting from the down-regulation of miR-181 family members probably contribute to the poor prognosis of patients with nonfavorable cytogenetically abnormal AML (CA-AML).

Up-regulation of a HOXA-PBX3 homeobox-gene signature following down-regulation of miR-181 is associated with adverse prognosis in patients with cytogenetically abnormal AML.
