    Study reports the regulation of AGO1 at translational level and demonstrates a programmed translational readthrough (PTR) of the AGO1 transcript, which results in an isoform termed as Ago1x. This novel isoform does not cause post-transcriptional gene silencing due to its inability to interact with GW182. Interestingly, this process is positively regulated by let-7a miRNA.
