    Hdc(-/-) high-fat diet (HFD) mice had increased steatosis compared with WT HFD mice. WT HFD mice had increased biliary mass, biliary proliferation, senescence, fibrosis, and hepatic stellate cell activation, which were reduced in Hdc(-/-) HFD mice.
