    1. High expression levels of Btg2 were detected in areas of senescence and programmed cell death associated with the remodeling of the outflow tract to build the roots of the great arteries and with the septation of the cardiac cavities during the development of the heart in the chicken embryo.

    2. The number of cells positive for gamma-H2AX increased significantly in cultures overexpressing the BTG2 gene.
