    Summary
Enables G protein-coupled serotonin receptor activity; GTPase activator activity; and serotonin binding activity. Involved in several processes, including ERK1 and ERK2 cascade; phospholipase C-activating serotonin receptor signaling pathway; and positive regulation of endothelial cell proliferation. Acts upstream of or within heart development. Located in cytoplasm and plasma membrane. Part of G protein-coupled serotonin receptor complex. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; central nervous system; embryo mesenchyme; genitourinary system; and sensory organ. Used to study hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis and steatotic liver disease. Orthologous to human HTR2B (5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 2B). RefSeqs maintained independently of Annotated Genomes

These reference sequences exist independently of genome builds. Explain

These reference sequences are curated independently of the genome annotation cycle, so their versions may not match the RefSeq versions in the current genome build. Identify version mismatches by comparing the version of the RefSeq in this section to the one reported in Genomic regions, transcripts, and products above.
