    Among the GC cell lines, KLF9 was low in MKN45 and BGC-823 cells, but high in SGC-7901 and HGC-27 cells. Ectopic expression of KLF9 evidently inhibited the migration and invasion capabilities of GC cells. Conversely, knockdown of KLF9 endowed GC cells with stronger invasive capacity. KLF9 significantly suppresses GC cell invasion and metastasis through inhibiting MMP28 transcription.
