Sec13 - Secretory 13
Enables chromatin binding activity. Involved in several processes, including chitin-based larval cuticle pattern formation; ecdysone-mediated polytene chromosome puffing; and positive regulation of transcription initiation by RNA polymerase II. Located in chromatin; nucleoplasm; and polytene chromosome puff. Part of Seh1-associated complex. Is expressed in several structures, including adult head; adult heart; embryonic/larval midgut primordium; ganglia; and mesoderm. Used to study candidiasis. Orthologous to human SEC13 (SEC13 homolog, nuclear pore and COPII coat complex component). [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Oct 2024]
