Enables potassium ion leak channel activity and protein homodimerization activity. Involved in locomotor rhythm; potassium ion transmembrane transport; and regulation of heart rate. Is integral component of membrane. Part of potassium channel complex. Is expressed in several structures, including adult head; adult muscle system; embryonic/larval heart; and ovary. Used to study heart conduction disease.
