Summary
Enables DNA-binding transcription factor activity, RNA polymerase II-specific; E-box binding activity; and bHLH transcription factor binding activity. Contributes to DNA-binding transcription activator activity, RNA polymerase II-specific and RNA polymerase II cis-regulatory region sequence-specific DNA binding activity. Involved in positive regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II; regulation of stem cell differentiation; and stem cell population maintenance. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including epithelial cell differentiation; paraxial mesoderm development; and post-anal tail morphogenesis. Located in nucleus. Part of RNA polymerase II transcription regulator complex. Is expressed in several structures, including early embryo; foregut-midgut junction; genitourinary system; paraxial mesenchyme; and sensory organ. Orthologous to human TCF15 (transcription factor 15). [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Nov 2024]

RefSeqs maintained independently of Annotated Genomes

These reference sequences exist independently of genome builds. Explain

These reference sequences are curated independently of the genome annotation cycle, so their versions may not match the RefSeq versions in the current genome build. Identify version mismatches by comparing the version of the RefSeq in this section to the one reported in Genomic regions, transcripts, and products above.
