Summary
This locus represents the proximal regulatory region of the CLEC4G (C-type lectin domain family 4 member G, also known as LSECtin) gene, which encodes a protein that interacts with filovirus glycoproteins and the spike protein of the SARS-CoV acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus. This region functions as a promoter that drives CLEC4G expression with highest activity in cells of myeloid origin. It includes a directly repeated 48 bp subregion with putative binding sites for Ets transcription factors, and can be transactivated by the PU.1 transcription factor in cooperation with the RUNX3 and Myb hematopoietic-restricted transcription factors. RefSeqs maintained independently of Annotated Genomes

These reference sequences exist independently of genome builds. Explain

These reference sequences are curated independently of the genome annotation cycle, so their versions may not match the RefSeq versions in the current genome build. Identify version mismatches by comparing the version of the RefSeq in this section to the one reported in Genomic regions, transcripts, and products above.
