Summary
This region represents the promoter of the SRY-box 14 (SOX14) gene. Binding by nuclear transcription factor Y may regulate expression of this promoter in HepG2 liver carcinoma cells. This promoter is overlapped by two fragments that were validated as active enhancers by ChIP-STARR-seq in naive human embryonic stem cells, where they are marked by the H3K27ac and H3K4me1 histone modifications.
