Identification of Exosome-Like Nanoparticle Derived MicroRNAs from Eleven Edible Plants

(Submitter supplied) In this study, we found that the highly expressed miRNAs appear in EPDELNs (Edible plant-derived exosome-like nanoparticles) have the potential to regulate human mRNA in a cross-kingdom manner. Target prediction and functional analysis revealed that highly expressed miRNAs were closely associated with inflammatory responses and cancer-related pathways. Therefore, we hypothesized that miRNAs in EPDELNs may be a crucial factor behind the regulatory function of EPDELNs.

(Submitter supplied) In the present study, we employed the high-throughput sequencing technology to profile miRNAs in the inner and outer pericarp of Actinidia chinensis cv. Hongyang. After sequencing and cleaning, the numbers of clean reads generated from these four libraries were 18,203,332, 9,356,430, 11,006,231 and 11,314,375, respectively. Kiwifruit response to armoured scale insect feeding

(Submitter supplied) The response of kiwifruit vine (Actinidia chinensis 'Hort16A') canes to feeding by the armoured scale insect Hemiberlesia lataniae was tested by screening RNA extracted from bark against a cDNA library of 17,512 unigenes.
