The dataset represents variables used for a comparison of neuropsychological functions of DCCT volunteers who received standard diabetes treatment to those who received experimental diabetes treatment, at baseline and years 2, 5, 7 and close-out. Neuropsychological testing focused on cognitive functions (e.g. general intelligence, problem-solving, calculation skills, learning and memory ability), attention and manual dexterity. Adults were tested with the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale and children with the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for children (see also pht000270, ms7exgee; for published results see: <a href=\"http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8554246?ordinalpos=2&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_DefaultReportPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum\"> PMID 8554246</a>).
