Xylella fastidiosa phenylacetaldehyde dehydrogenase is a founding member of aldo-keto reductase family 13 member B1 (AKR13B1). phenylacetaldehyde dehydrogenase (EC 1.2.1.39) catalyzes the NAD+-dependent oxidation of phenylactealdehyde to phenylacetic acid.
