The T antigen nuclear localization signal is a single stretch of amino acids. In contrast, the nuclear localization signal of nucleoplasmin is bipartite, consisting of a Lys-Arg sequence, followed by a Lys-Lys-Lys-Lys sequence located ten amino acids farther downstream.
