Common types of epithelial ovarian cancer. Epithelial ovarian cancers are classified into type I and type II. Type I cancers are described as low grade and chromosomally stable with a lower likelihood of metastasis and higher cure rates. Type II cancers are described as high grade and chromosomally unstable with a higher likelihood of metastasis and lower cure rates.
