The Board on Children, Youth, and Families planned and convened a one-day expert meeting to review emerging research on biological markers of mental health and obesity within a developmental framework. About 60 speakers and participants attended the meeting, which was held at the offices of the National Academies in Washington, DC. The seminar was sponsored by the National Institute on Child Health and Human Development.
