Arterial Circulation of the Brain. This inferior view shows the circle of Willis at the base of the brain formed by the anterior communicating, anterior cerebral, middle cerebral, internal carotid, posterior communicating, posterior cerebral, and basilar arteries. The temporal pole of the cerebrum and a portion of the cerebellar hemisphere have been removed on the right side.
