Marijuana was the primary substance of abuse reported in 2011 for 60.8% of female substance abuse treatment admissions aged 12 to 17, 22.1% aged 18 to 24, 12.7% aged 25 to 34, 7.1% aged 35 to 44, 4.0% aged 45 to 54, 2.8% aged 55 to 64, and 1.5% aged 65 or older. Cohen's h is greater than or equal to .20 for the age groups of 12 to 17 and 18 to 24. Marijuana was the primary substance of abuse reported in 2011 for 80.7% of male substance abuse treatment admissions aged 12 to 17, 33.4% aged 18 to 24, 16.7% aged 25 to 34, 8.7% aged 35 to 44, 4.4% aged 45 to 54, 3.1% aged 55 to 64, and 1.7% aged 65 or older. Cohen's h is greater than or equal to .20 for the age groups of 12 to 17 and 18 to 24.
