host description	Patient with end-stage renal disease and small cell cancer presents from nursing home with altered mental status. Work-up revealed staphylococcal bacteremia, the central line was removed and vancomycin was started. Clinical course was complicated by urosepsis with Klebsiella pneumoniae treated with ertapenem. Patient was stabilized and discharged to nursing home. Duration of bacteremia: 2 days.
