Akanthomyces muscarius Ve6 genome assembly. Strain rev2.8.2 isolated from the commercial biopesticide Mycotal (Koppert, NL). DNA extracted using Qiagen Genomic-tip (Qiagen). Preparation of the long read library was performed using a single Pacific Biosciences RS Sequel IIe SMRT cell. Short read libraries for the ancestor were prepared using a single lane of Illumina NovaSeq SP (Paired-end, 2x150 bp) with Illumina NEBNext Ultra II FS Kit on the Mosquito platform. All sequencing was carried out at the NERC Enviromental Omics Facility (University of Liverpool, UK). HiFi reads from the Pacific Biosciences SMRT cell were used for genome assembly with Flye v2.9-b1768. The obtained assembly was additionally corrected using Illumina reads by POLCA (built-in MaSuRCA 4.0.5 polisher).
