Description

Rhinolophus ferrumequinum (greater horseshoe bat) is a bat species in the family of Rhinolophidae. Its distribution covers Europe, Northern Africa, Central Asia and Eastern Asia. The sample was collected by Gareth Jones from the School of Biological Sciences, University of Bristol. This sample is being used to generate chromosomal level reference assembly as part of the Bat1K Project.
