Description

Listeria monocytogenes is a foodborne pathogen with a significant impact on public health and food safety. Strain Listeria monocytogenes N16-0044 is a clinical isolate recovered from a patient during the 2016 listeriosis outbreak linked to contaminated meat products in southern Switzerland. The genome of this strain will be used for comparative analysis with other sequenced Listeria monocytogenes genomes.
