Description

Pediococcus damnosus is a kind of food spoilage bacteria which have the ability to enter into VBNC state. Due to the VBNC state, Pediococcus damnosus can evade the microbiological detecting of food and result in the food spoilage during the expiration date which effect the food safety and the whole food industry. Thorough understanding of the genome of Pediococcus damnosus is required to pick out the genes related to the VBNC state and aid in the further study of the control of Pediococcus damnosus.
