Description

Protocols: Leaf samples were taken on 12/09/2013, towards the end of the experiment, and flash-frozen in liquid nitrogen. All genotypes were exposed to three treatment conditions (“control”, “drought” & “well-watered”. Each treatment condition; control, drought, and well-water was repeated in each of four blocks placed in a green house in a randomized block design. Total RNA was extracted using the RNeasy plant Mini kit from Qiagen according to the manufacturer’s instruction, including an on-column digest of residual genomic DNA The total RNA was converted into mRNA sequencing libraries using the Illumina TruSeq RNA Sample Preparation Kit (V2) according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
