Description

Ceratodon purpureus R40 Annotation Transcriptome. Sample originally collected in New York, USA. Homogenized protonema tissue grown in sterile conditions for 7 days on cellophaned standard BCDA media in growth chamber with 18 hr light (at 25 degrees C) and 6 h dark (at 21 degrees C). Cellophanes were then transferred to dessicator containing silica gel dessicant and grown for 7 additional days in growth chamber with 18 hr light (at 25 degrees C) and 6 h dark (at 21 degrees C). Cellophanes were then transferred to a Petri dish with sterile water for 5 mins to rehydrate tissue. Cellophanes were finally moved to standard BCDA media and put in growth chamber in light at 25 C for 2 hours.
