The goal of this work was to uncover how the native C. elegans microbiome impacts host health upon infection with the obligate intracellular microsporidian parasite N. parisii. A panel of 53 wild isolates of pseudomonas was screened and 6 of the strains with the highest activity and greatest phylogenetic diversity were selected for whole genome sequencing.
