This project contains the nucleotide data used in the the comprehensive comparative genomic and proteomic studies done on the bacteria of Gemmataceae taxonomical family. Gemmataceae are known for complex cellular structure and and many other remarkable features. However, the genetics underlying these features is yet to be explored. This study describes the systematic evolution of some of these features. We have also tried to resolve the controversies regarding their connection to the eukaryotes and whether they contain a peptidoglycan cell wall, a ubiquitous bacterial feature.
Genome of Tuwongella immobilis MBLW1 was assembled using Illumina, Roche 454 and Pacbio data with the Spades assembly software. Description of sequence data:
Roche 454: Mean length=230 bases, Coverage=30x, Mean pair gap=1854 bases
Illumina : Mean Length=250 bases, Coverage=691x, Mean pair gap=510 bases
Pacbio: Mean length=7168 bases, Coverage=19x
