The Nasonia vitripennis genome was sequenced by the Human Genome Sequencing Center at Baylor College of Medicine using a whole genome shotgun (WGS) approach, using genomic DNA from the highly inbred AsymCX strain. The estimated 330-360 Mb genome was sequenced to approximately 6.2-fold coverage. The complete N. vitripennis genome sequence is complemented by genome sequences of the related species N. giraulti and N. longicornis to aid in comparative genomic studies.
This WGS project has the project accession AAZX00000000. The current version of the project (01) has the accession number AAZX01000000, and consists of sequences AAZX01000001-AAZX01026605.
