The intent of the experiment was to infer, from transcriptome analysis, the occurrence of competent LTR retrotransposons in shoot apical meristems of Solanum lycopersicum. For this, we performed Illumina pair-end RNA-seq in M82 tomato samples of meristems, leaves and flowers. We also harvested meristems in plants subjected to long-term heat.
