Genome Information for Salmo salar
Study revealed new information about molecular functions of the vgll3 and six6 genes associated with age-at-maturity in the brain of Atlantic salmon
Overall design: In the study presented here, expression patterns of two genes associated with age-at-maturity in Atlantic salmon, their paralogs and 340 additional genes were studied in whole hatchery-derived individuals of three maturation stages, immature-1 and immature-2, and mature, in the brain of two vgll3 genotypes (early and late maturation genotypes).
