More...The goal of the study was to produce a resolved framework phylogeny of the lichen moth tribe (Lepidoptera: Erebidae: Arctiinae: Lithosiini). Previous phylogenetic studies using either morphological (Scott & Branham 2012) or a limited number of genes (Scott et al 2014) have been unable to recover the evolutionary relationships among the genera. In this study, we sequenced the transcriptome of 22 lithosiines and 11 additional outgroup taxa representing closely related subfamilies of Erebidae. This bioproject contains all of the novel transcriptomes produced by our study.
