As a good example for studies on hadal adaptation, yap trench snailfish (Pseudoliparis yapensis) lives at a ~7,000-m depth of Yap Trench, western Pacific. However, no genomic data have been available for this hadal fish yet. Here, we aim at establishing a reference genome for genetic discovery of molecular clues for the hadal adaptation.
