Streptomyces collinus Tu 365

Streptomyces collinus Tu 365 Genome sequencing

See Genome Information for Streptomyces collinus
Streptomyces collinus Tü 365 is the producer of the antibiotic kirromycin. Kirromycin targets bacterial translation elongation factor Tu (EF-Tu) a currently underexplored target for anti-microbial therapy. The complete genome was determined to study kirromycin production in cellular context.
