However, little is known about the genetic profiles in patients with different cytomorphological lesions in their thyroid glands; BTG in one lobe while PTC in another lobe. This intra-patient analysis could offer further insights into the molecular events in tumorigenesis to support findings from the comparison made among different groups of patients.
