Early Life microbiome

Fecal and breastmilk microbiome from a cohort of 93 infants. Fecal microbiome was sampled at 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months and 6 months. Breastmilk microbiome of the mothers was sampled at 6 weeks. Microbiome composition was analyzed using 16S rRNA sequencing (Illumina Miseq).

This study examines the changes in the microbiome of infants from 2 weeks until 6 months (4 sampling points at 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months and 6 months).
