Genome Information for [Candida] palmioleophila
Candida palmioleophila is a yeast associated with opportunistic disease in humans and potential use in bioremediation given their capacity to remove lipids from Palm Oil Mill Effluents (POME).
More...Candida palmioleophila is a yeast associated with opportunistic disease in humans and potential use in bioremediation given their capacity to remove lipids from Palm Oil Mill Effluents (POME). These features have been attributed to the production of extracellular lipases enzymes in some species of the Candida genus. Lipases have been studied as virulence factors or specialized enzymes in the food and drug industries due to their stability, regioselectivity and enantioselectivity. To date, there are no reported DNA, RNA or proteins sequences related to lipases in free repositories for C. palmioleophila.
