More...This project provides comprehensive genomic and transcriptomic sequencing data for the mulberry looper, Phthonandria atrilineata, a significant pest of mulberry and other economically important crops. Our study employs a multi-faceted sequencing approach, including Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) for both DNA and RNA, as well as advanced long-read PacBio HiFi sequencing and Hi-C technology. The primary goals are to generate high-quality, multi-dimensional sequencing data that will enable: (1) accurate genome assembly and annotation, (2) in-depth transcriptome analysis, and (3) investigation of the three-dimensional chromatin structure. By combining NGS DNA and RNA data with HiFi long reads and Hi-C data, we aim to produce a reference-quality genome assembly and gain insights into gene expression patterns and genome organization in P. atrilineata. This rich dataset will serve as a valuable resource for genomics research, evolutionary studies, and the development of targeted pest management strategies, contributing significantly to our understanding of this important agricultural pest at the molecular level.
