Genome Information for Marchantia polymorpha
In Marchantia polymorpha, KARRIKIN INSENSITIVE 2 (KAI2)-dependent signaling promotes gemma cup and gemma formation.
More...In Marchantia polymorpha, KARRIKIN INSENSITIVE 2 (KAI2)-dependent signaling promotes gemma cup and gemma formation. KAI2A perceives unidentified endogenous ligand(s), tentatively referred to as KAI2 ligands (KL). Perception of KL by KAI2 triggers MAX2-dependent proteolysis of MpSMXL. To identify genes working downstream of KAI2-dependent signaling in M. polymorpha, we performed transcriptome analysis in MpAtD14ox lines (transgenic M. polymorpha plants expressing AtD14 under the control of the 35S promoter and AtD14-dependent signaling occurs only after the addition of rac-GR24) comparing rac-GR24 treatment for 3 or 6 hours with control treatment by RNA-seq using MGISEQ-2000 platform.
