The present data utilized for the investigation originates from Victoria cruziana. The samples were collected from a plant located in the Botanical Garden Braunschweig (52.27043343004546, 10.5336707275785). The initial sampling occurred on July 19, 2023, at 10:50 PM, where four samples were taken from the not yet fully opened white flowers. The weather on this day was cloudy. The subsequent day, July 20, 2023, had cloudy and sunny conditions, and five samples were collected from the pink blooming flowers.
The ambient temperature in the greenhouse was 24°C during the day and 22°C at night. The ventilation temperature remained constant at 34°C, while humidity fluctuated between 80% and 100%. The plants did not receive any additional light exposure.
For irrigation, tap water with a temperature of 27°C was used. The plants were cultivated in a container with a depth of 1.07 meters and a width of 8.8m x 5.5m, with a substrate ratio of 1:1 (compost to peat). Each liter of water received 6 grams of Osmocote Pro and 6 grams of lime as fertilizer.
RNA extraction was performed using the Macherey-Nagel Kit (plants and fungi). Paired-end RNA-seq was conducted using Illumina/Novaseq 6000.
